Writers, translators and some other content creation specialists need to complete an application test when applying to join a project team via a job post on ContentPlace. Please note that you will not receive payment for completing a project application test. You can find more information about this in the article How can I find out about and apply to join new projects?
These FAQ will guide you through the process of completing project applications on ContentPlace.
How do I upload my application test?
You can find the page to upload your test in the 'My tasks' section of ContentPlace. If you need to upload multiple documents, you will need to put them into a single zip folder.
All tests must be uploaded on ContentPlace. Any tests sent to us via email will not be marked. If you experience a technical issue with the platform while trying to upload your test, please email email@example.com and include a screenshot of the page where you're encountering the problem. This helps us to identify and fix the issue as quickly as possible.
Please note, once you've uploaded your test it may be flagged that your test contains plagiarism. As we use original source copy in a lot of our testing materials this is completely normal and we would only look into cases where this percentage was unusually high.
I uploaded a test but I haven't heard back yet
Due to the large number of project applications we receive, test marking can take up to 15 working days. If you haven't heard back after this amount of time, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note: There will always be a set deadline for completing project application tests. If the project is due to start urgently, you will always be made aware that tests may be reviewed before the deadline on a first come first served basis.
How do I know if I have been selected for a job?
If you are selected for a project team, we'll email you with the good news! Make sure you have ticked the box beside 'I want to receive important work-related notifications' in the Account settings section of your account on ContentPlace.
