I'm currently in...
Jakarta, Indonesia. I have been living here for 1 year with my husband and 2 cats. Jakarta somehow reminds me of my hometown, Bangkok, the heavy traffic, chaotic city yet delicious cuisine and friendly people. Living in a country of 17,000+ islands and 1,300 ethnic groups, I still have a lot to explore in this beautiful, multicultural country. When talking about Indonesia, many people would think about Bali. Actually, Indonesia has much more to offer… especially if you love beach paradise vacation and diving, check out Raja Ampat islands, Bunaken, Flores and Gili.
In my spare time you will find me...
Planning my next trip. I plan or try to have at least 1 weekend trip/staycation per month. Living in a busy city can drain your energy and your soul, hence nature has a healing power. I need to get some fresh air and see a big clear sky without any high-rise buildings.
Since the pandemic started, traveling has been more difficult than before. I have been spending most of the time with my cats at home as they have a wonderful healing power as well.
I'm passionate about...
Archaeology. I have loved history class since I was young and when I read a book about Tutankhamun's tomb, it really fascinated me. That is where my interest in Egyptology started, then it turned to Archaeology in general. I love visiting history museums and archaeological sites if I can, wherever I travel to, studying those Archaeological artefacts and skeletons, who are they, how they lived, what language they spoke etc, to uncover the secrets of human history and to understand how humans have developed. Of course, Egypt is at the top of my bucket list of places that I would like to visit one day.
My dream brief would be...
Anything traveling or foodie, plus history and culture. Also, I do not mind a crime novel as a big fan of Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie myself. I really enjoy reading crime/detective novels and watching crime series (especially history-related), as they say: “Crime entertainment is like working a puzzle that also gives you a rush of excitement every time you put the last piece in.”
