Doing pottery! This has been a hobby for some years now, and it’s amazing how pottery teaches us the importance of patience, of continuous learning and of having a healthy detachment from the final results. Much like localisation, right?
I also love to learn anything related to handicrafts. Since I spend most of my working hours in front of a screen dealing with words, I try to balance it with manual creative activities whenever I can.

Enabling understanding and dialogue. And this also explains why I chose to work in localisation and communication. I cherish the idea that I’m contributing to a more connected world, while respecting the cultural nuances of my language and home country.
I love the Brazilian Portuguese language, as well as the creativity of Brazilian content creators. So I made one of my missions to ensure that when I’m translating or editing any translated content, I can provide readers the same joy and effect that they would find in something originally written in Portuguese.
My dream brief would be...
To translate content related to issues that are especially dear to me, such as the importance of mental health and social justice. I would also love to work with more content related to social anthropology (I have a Master’s degree in this area) and I'd love to experience translating a fiction book! Of course, those are subjects closer to heart, but, as someone naturally curious, I would also be in my ‘professional happy place’ with any brief that would allow me to learn something new!
